Account Executive – BoardroomPR

BoardroomPR (South Florida, Orlando or Tampa, FL) is an award-winning PR agency with a fun and collaborative culture that offers a hybrid work arrangement, opportunity for career development and advancement and a competitive compensation and benefits package. We provide traditional Public Relations, Social Media, and Digital Marketing Services to a diverse group of mainly B-to-B clients throughout Florida. While we are based in Ft. Lauderdale, we also have offices in Tampa and Orlando.

Currently, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Account Executive to join our company. In this role, you will work on a team with other AEs, account directors and C-suite management to service and support our clients. 

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working in-house or at a PR agency. We will also consider entry-level applicants if you can demonstrate strong written and verbal skills and an understanding of our business through previous internships.  Current and former journalists from print or broadcast are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

+ Serve as the first or second point of contact for assigned client accounts.

+ Write press releases, story pitches and general PR copy.

+ Develop and manage multiple lists of media contacts and know how to build relationships with reporters, editors, bloggers, influencers and broadcast bookers and producers.

+ Support senior-level account managers/executives by providing account services such as conducting research, writing copy and press releases, distributing pitches and media alerts and coordinating interviews.

+ Pitch the media to secure favorable coverage for clients in local, regional, national and trade outlets.

+ Provide strategic counsel to clients, offering creative ideas and solutions to meet their PR and business needs.

+ Manage client expectations, ensuring deliverables are met on time

Requirements/Skills:

+ Bachelor’s degree in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.

+ 1-3 years’ experience working in public relations either in-house or for an agency. Former journalists who desire a career in PR should also consider applying.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

+ Enjoy working with the media and love following the news and trends.

+ Have a general understanding of social media and digital marketing.

+ Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

+ Proficiency in PR and media monitoring tools.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
